The origin
On-campus housing
According to a famous psychologist, Abraham Harold Maslow, the needs of humans could be divided into five different levels: “Physiological needs”, “Safety needs”, “Love and belonging needs”, “Esteem needs”, and “Self-actualization”. Whenever people go to the next level, they have to satisfy the previous level first. (A Theory of Human Motivation Psychological Review, Abraham Harold Maslow). Living belongs to the first level of all needs, which means if a person does not have a safe and well-known living place, he or she could not enjoy his or her colorful lives, especially for freshmen who will live in a new environment. In this case, to make sure new students will not have a problem in housing, we decide to introduce the housing on-campus and off-campus to future Buckeyes.
